Anybody have much experience on these? OM651 engine.. 2011 sprinter,
Throwing up a fault code P0087 low fuel pressure,
Changed fuel filter and rail pressure sensor but still the same.
It drives ok when you clear the fault until you get up the gears and give it a good drive the light just flashes again and will go into limp mode eventually.
There seems to be good pressure from the fuel pump in the tank although I haven’t put a gauge on it.
Anyone be able to point me in the right direction? I’m thinking maybe injectors

Low fuel pressure can be anything from fuel supply from the tank to the filter, the high pressure pump, the rail or injectors.

2011 Sprinters tend to give a bit of injector trouble, so I’d have a look at those first. They should be Delphi injectors. https://www.des.ie/product/28342997-reconditioned-delphi-injector/

Yeah have the injectors out for testing, apparently two of them aren’t great but not completely gone. Will have them back tomorrow With two new ones and hopefully it fixes the problem

    Good stuff.

Make sure when refitting that everything is clean, and get plenty of diesel to them before tightening the pipes to the injector inlets. Air in the line can lock them up.

Also important than you code them in with the new codes. Sprinters can run like crap if the injectors aren’t coded in.

Just a follow up here, was told two faulty injectors, new ones didn’t do anything still same issue.
Decided to drop tank and found a lot of metal shavings, stripped lift pump, replaced for a new one cleaned tank etc. I reckon the HP pump is breaking down.
