    Hi all,

Have a chimney on L shaped bungalow

1 chimney is fine in living room the smoke blows away into the air.

1 chimney from a stove in kitchen (newly fitted ) the smoke fills the air around the house sometimes blows back into the house etc through open window or door ....

Is there a way to blow this smoke with some type of fan cowl ? or is raising the whole stack only option ? the stack does seem a little lower than ridge.

    any advice appreciated

Sounds like poor draw. What's the ventilation like in that room. Is there any.

I think you already know the answer which is to raise the chimney, should be 600mm above ridge height for best results, but it’s usually easier said than done
