Hi all. Have a question about linking several expansion type water tanks in a small crawl space. Would this be an option for a traditional gravity fed hot water system. It’s in a dormer bungalow so it will struggle for head height I would imagine?

I have done it, in fact I got trapezium shaped stainless tanks made with 2 by 1" connecting pipes: essential.
    worked well

2 pipes of 1” would be the way to go would you say. I am just about to google trapezium lol ah see what you done to maximize your size. In my case this is a retro fit and I have huge length crawl space but it’s not very wide. The more tanks I link would this equal the more water pressure?

We have 2 coffin type tanks linked together with inch copper in our crawl space. Head height I'm not due about as our water from the tanks is pumped with a grundfos mq3 pump.

No. It doesn't matter whether it's 1 litre or 1000 litres if the water surface is the same height there will be the same pressure.
