Question about AutoBouquetsMaker/CrossEPG (Zgemma H7S - Openvix)

I had a problem using AutoBouquetsMaker the first day, it wouldn't create a Saorview bouquet. I posted about that here

In the end I made my own bouquets through the openwebif page and they are set up perfectly.

However, will I have a problem in the future if frequencies change, i.e. should I be running AutoBouquetsMaker regularly? If I run it now will it mess up my custom bouquets?

I use CrossEPG and it seems to work well for about a week, but then it stops updating and in the Setup menu the providers list is blank and I need to remove and reinstall the plugin for it to work again. Is CrossEPG somehow dependant on AutoBouquetsMaker too?

Going back to your original issue. You have 3 tuners. I'm guessing 1 terrestrial, 1 satellite and what is the third tuner (terrestrial or satellite)? Have you ordered them correctly under tuner tuner configuration and have your a dedicate signal for each?

Autobouquets wouldn't work for me because I had both tuners A & B set for satellite but I only have a single lnb output so when it tried to do anything with the second tuner there was nothing there to use so would stop and say error. Something similar might be happening for you. Once I set my redundant tuner to not configured Autobouquets worked for me. This is a relatively new discovery for me but crossepg worked fine before and after I got Autobouquets working. It didn't need up my own bouquet.

Regardless of what you do I recommend you make a back up of your bouquets via openwebif. Very easy to do and a life saver if anything happens to your channel ordering.

As for your EPG issue. How often do you have it set to scan and where are you saving it (internal/HDD)? Could it be doing an initial scan and not updating again. Alternatively have you run out of memory?

I have CrossEPG scheduled for once a day, and it usually works fine for several days, but then it stops and I have to remove and reinstall. Saving to internal hdd currently.

Just wondering if CrossEPG is the best way to get EPG or should I try a different way
