You will get a double payment every two weeks until the social distancing rules no longer apply. It's to cut down people queuing at the post office. I'm getting mine into the bank for the first time this week but I expect the same rules will apply to everyone so still a double payment.

It should be paid tomorrow on schedule. It was paid a day early two weeks ago because it was Easter.

On a related note, does anyone know is it possible to have a review of a disability payment?

When my friend was originally granted it, there were two 40 euro payments into her account which were money from a friend to help when she could not pay her bills. The SW insist these are ongoing regular payments, which they are not and they have been told (and shown) they are not, but she still gets a substantially reduced amount from the SW.

Is there a mechanism by which she can request a review of her payment? Thanks for any help.

She should write to DA preferably to the Deciding Officer who refused her. She should supply bank statements back to the last time they requested them showing no further cash deposits.
I’m quite sure that the explanation she gave for the deposits to her account were perfectly honest but unfortunately the DO came to the conclusion that she was getting regular financial assistance from family members.
They would then regard this as income and deduct it from her payment.
She will have to persuade the DO that those payments were just once-off occurrences. That’s easier said then done.
