You need an option for "They are dead when they fall apart".

Suppose it depends on the runner too. I typically set an alert at 550/600km mark

My hips and lower back tell me when to change runners, usually around 500-600kms.

I have some pairs in rotation with 750km and 820km on them. They still feel good to run in. I tend to let how they feel decide when I bin them.

I take it you always run the same surface and the same shoe

Yes, have used Nike Pegasus for the last 11 years (other than one very painful brief use of Mizunos and one deviation to Asics before I came back to Nike) and I do 95% of my running on tar (not concrete).

Ok so you don't experience differencess where different foams breaking down later or earlier
and thinner soles vs thicker soles

In my case I get huge variations in the miles of my Daily runners.

I dont like them much but boost is in my mind the longest lasting foam albeit quite heavy and the standard Eva lässt a good bit ,less.

and even within the same foam my favorite r daaily runnerr the luna tempo last a good bit less than a lunaglide

Besides rotation likely plays a part in this
not to mention the surface .

Between 600-750 I log all my Kms on all my runners I rotate between 4 pairs over 6 days per week.

Depends on the runners, I have minimal runners from 5 years ago with plenty of distance in them, they are as good as new (laces broke before anything else). Cushioned shoes tend to get about 400/500km before the bin...

This is an interesting one this shoe has a really wide range people run in .from 150 to 1200 k
I did use nikes 30 day trial and tested them and I could not see why I should not get at least 600 k out of them lielky more like 800for myself but yes for somebody with sub optimal biomechanichs not good . They lose their pop after about 200 but after about 400 they where still superb shoes. . I almost fell down the stairs when I put them on the first time . They are something else
