Sure, if you're paying for it.

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

In an ideal world I should have been returning from that very place about now :(

Luckily someone up there was looking out for me and I had to let the opportunity go.

True story. Adams was the name off one of the men who escaped from the bounty. He got to live out his life on some island were all the residents are his direct descendants. Maybe 10/15 years ago a load of his descents where charged with incestuous rape.

You know the way one thought triggers another.....

I believe the island was Pitcairn , but I'm relying on my Increasingly unreliable memory.

Anyway, read the report of the mutiny as written by Captain Bligh. That was some escape , and FINALLY I get to the triggered thought.

Did you know that the Bull Wall in Dollymount was designed by Captain Bligh? Well, initially.

    Hello? are you still there???
    :D

Most of those islands are very similar, was lucky enough to go to Tahiti, moorea, and a few atolls nearby, then on to the Cook Islands .... would highly recommend them all.... although, we didn’t go to bora bora it’s supposed to be similar looking just filled with people with expensive taste and money to burn.

We would also recommend Hawaiian islands (expensive to stay).

As it was, it was a two-day, four-flight trip home.

I can only imagine the logistical nightmare of arriving into a small Pacific island which was basically quarantined and closed to all but their own nationals, and trying to find my way home to Ireland. And then go into two weeks of quarantine here.

Yes, I think I was lucky to have had to turn it down!!! (although it was for other reasons entirely)

I just realised its to far away, I rather go to greenland, they have lovely beaches there. I suppose you would be a lovely blue colour getting out of the water

Tahiti anymore is a cestpit. From past natural disasters which still haven't recovered, and basically a lawless place. From wanton trafficking and diseases to robberies and open murders. It's a stark shadow of its former self. If it's pirating your after, Somalia is your man.

My way of saying don't romantise Tahiti. My company had offices there and I hated being sent there it was so bad.In the 80's and 90's I loved going there, now it is just a ****show. The child trafficking is just mindblowing and open gun battles between the different factions on a daily basis. During their crisis they relied on aid from the US, but that also was open to exploitation.

Don't believe everything you read in the travel pamplets.

What about fiji then? Or Samoa?

Captain Bligh: In a civilised soceity, certain lewd intentions towards the female members of one's family would be regarded as a, well, as an insult. Do you follow me?
Fletcher Christian: I think so, sir.
Captain Bligh: But in Tahiti, the insult lies in the omission of those lewd intentions. Manners that would offend a dock-side harlot seem to be the only acceptable behaviour to King Hitihiti

    ;)
