Whats the best to patch a crack about an inch and anhalf long on the lead valley? See a few options online and was thinking of the Tec7 roof .
The crack is about half way up the roof so maybe 9-10 feet from gutter line.

Yeah remember seeing rolls of tape also while looking it up.

What tape would you suggest? I've a tiny 1cm crack to seal myself. I'll get the tec7 but I really only need small patch of tape so don't want to buy a massive roll!

genuinely you could use silver duct tape. just to cover a decent Tech 7 job.

Depends how visible the area is.

There is a specific lead sealants available, Everflex makes one but I am sure there are others.

Do a crash course in lead soldering and fill it in. That way its your grandchildren's problem. Or hire someone who can, like an older plumber.

Give the lead a nice key with some 80 grit sandpaper to help the sealant grip.

Decent job as in prepping and finishing?
Forgot to look what colour the Tec7 is, black I presume!
