Aer Lingus cancelled our flight back from lanzarote to Shannon 3 weeks ago. We were put up in hotel overnight on other side of island and managed to get a new flight the following night to Dublin. We had to rent a car from Dublin to drive to collect our car in shannon. Wondering can I get reimbursed for cost of rental car…

Aer Lingus cancelled our flight back from lanzarote to Shannon 3 weeks ago. We were put up in hotel overnight on other side of island and managed to get a new flight the following night to Dublin.
We had to rent a car from Dublin to drive to collect our car in shannon. Wondering can I get reimbursed for cost of rental car and taxis to and from airport in lanzarote.

A lot would depend on the reasoning for the cancellation of the flight. Have you tried your travel insurance?
