Transferring to another apartment on the homeless hap scheme?

Hi there, I'm currently renting a studio apartment for 3 months now through the homeless hap scheme. However for a number of reasons I'm not comfortable in it and really don't want to stay. I've read in the hap t&c's that once you find somewhere you are expected to stay there for at least two years outside of exceptional circumstances. I'm wondering what my chances are of them allowing me to find somewhere more suitable? Also I know that there's a housing crisis and that I'm much better off here than being on the streets and I am grateful. Thanks.

    Depends on your reasons....

You'd need to talk to your local office and see who they can allocate to look at your case.

As you said yourself, they only do it in exceptional circumstances.

    Are your circumstances exceptional?

The neighbours are very disruptive and haven't made me feel very comfortable. It's also a bit of a rough building in general and I think there's antisocial behaviour going on. They're not exceptional circumstances in the sense of there not being enough room or having to move for job reasons but they are significant.
