Recommendations for car storage companies based in north Dublin.

    Hi all,

    I am a resident of North Dublin. I am looking to place my car into storage for roughly 1 year. I am not familiar with this industry I am hoping some of you can provide me with your own experiences and feedback.

    There's a few spots going in the place I use to store my car in Balbriggan. It's a very good set up, very secure.

    Questions to ask are outdoor or indoor, are they insured, is access 24/7/365 without notice or will your car be blocked in by 20 other vehicles?

    If indoors do you want a low humidity heated rust reducing environment, or is just out of heavy rain OK?. Then do you want a power socket for a trickle battery charger or are you happy to remove and reinstall or jump or disconnect battery?

    Prices vary a lot and a quick Google will bring up a few near Dublin. Cheapest will be outdoor campervan type storage but none will be what I would call cheap, many don't list prices so are open to a haggle.

    If you don't intend touching car for a year consider selling it or loaning it to a trusted friend for weekend use.
