CIPD Certificate or Masters in HR?

    Hi All,

I'm considering studying again due to the fact that I want to have a role in HR but since I have no experience nor a degree in HR I thought I might bump up my qualifications to increase the chance of landing a job in HR (entry level is fine too). Ive already have a BA and Masters in Business and 4 years of experience (not HR related). I am looking for advice from people who are working in HR/as a recruiter or any one that can offer me advice.

Since Ive already have a Masters should I just go and do a CIPD level 3 cert and that would be enough or a Masters in HR would be more valued?

For Masters in HR I am thinking of doing it in National College of Ireland since their curriculum seems very well tailored and the fees are in a range I can afford. UCD fee is too much like 14k, so not gonna consider.

Any advice is very welcome! Any personal experience in getting a job in HR is appreciated too.

    Stay Healthy!

    -Gloria

I'd recommend a Masters. As someone who did a 2nd degree, in HR, I would've been far better off doing a masters which is far more valuable.
