I applied for the position of customer care agent (work from home)when Amazon launched a recruitment drive 2 weeks ago..

Just wondering has anyone who applied for the same position been contacted by the company yet? Thanks.

I’ve applied for this too and haven’t heard anything back

Apparently they were just hammered with applications and just went through the earlier applications.

Ya that's what I was thinking. They announced it when everyone was losing employment and all of a sudden a work from home job would be like gold to most people. They probably got strong candidates who found themselves newly unemployed...

Applied for this too and have heard nothing. The idea of bad working hours doesn't appeal but benefits seem good.

I thought I was an early applicant, but I haven't heard anything.

I would give a heads up that the turnover for the entry level positions for Amazon is actually quite high.

But, from what I've been told it's mostly down to the shift rotations itself, rather than the day to day actual work with customers. Amazon typically prides itself on "the customer is right" so mostly your responses to customers are very positive for them, but the late night shifts and weekend work can cause a lot of people to leave as it's a killer on family/social life.

I got a response and got offered a role. Anyone have any idea what to expect? How does the shift work normally work out over the course of a week/month?

Didn’t have anything in terms of interview beyond the aptitude test and initial application.

I’m sure there’s just a huge back log and others will get a response.

If you don't mind me asking, when did you apply and when did they first make contact? Thanks!

I had heard that..to be honest I don't think there's such a thing as unsociable working hours now given everything that's going on.I'd be happy with something even if it meant awkward hours.

Of course not! Just checked there - applied on 18/3 and got word back on 1/4.

May well have picked some names out of a hat!

Hmm i applied on the 20th so maybe might hear something soon. I don't know if i could do it long term but it's worth trying. It's strange that there's no interview though.

Thought it was odd too. There are 6 weeks of training, so I'd imagine most people would be in a decent position to do the job after that!

Sorry for going slightly off-topic, but does anyone know where Amazon's warehouse is located?

There's an operations sup position advertised, I assume that's where it'll be based.

    Thanks.

I got an email out of the blue this evening to say I'd passed the assessment but they had no role for me so I'm being kept on file.

Tbh I find that more disappointing than no response ha.

I got the same email saying there were no roles available but they're gonna keep me on file.

It seems positive enough though most other places say no you're just unsuccessful, and not that they are interested in your cv.

"At this time we have decided not to move forward with your application."

They've probably sent that thousands of times.

What kinds of salary are they offering?

I got that too Nicole!I got the unsuccessful one twice over the last week.

They should have just left it at the first.
