What happens if a permit is late being sent to Bandon ie the permit should have been sent by 21st March and it was only sent to Bandon yesterday, but the date on the Permit that the cattle were moved is correct ie they were moved on March 18th. The buyer forgot to send in the permit to Bandon

Tried ringing Bandon but no one answering the phone

Doesn't matter, i done it loads of times. Its just if you get an inspection you get a slap on the wrist.

Tomjim, you cannot be held responsible for someone else's mistake. The permit was applied for and the cattle were moved within the time. Keep your copy (source copy) on record.
I always get the buyer to sign the notification copy and I post it myself, that way I know it's done. There is nothing more annoying than seeing animals still in your online herd register weeks after they are sold.

I always post the movement form here. Whether buying or selling. Then I know it's done. OP you might get away with it as they have been quite slow lately updating the movements

The cattle have not gone out of my herd yet. I'm just wondering if I get the buyer to accept the number of the permit into his online herd profile and accept the cattle would that work even though the permit has gone to bandon in the post
