So perfect timing, the dishwasher has died.

Won’t reset and LED 4 and 5 are lit which according to all my research doesn’t exist as a fault - any advice?

Thanks, that’s what I’m working off. But can’t find anything about light 4 and 5 being on together. I’ll keep trying

As 5 is associated with water filling did you check the solenoid valve coil for continuity and also filters etc. I am not familiar with Smeg but it looks like Whirlpool from a drawing, try holding the start button for 5/10 secs for reset. If it is an older machine undo the covering on the loom where it hinges at the bottom of the door as the wires have a tendency to break here when they get brittle.

Thank you everyone - I'm very stubborn so I kept at it last night until it worked - just kept resetting and trying to put it on

Seems to be working now
