I have some land currently being grazed by horses. I will be changing over to grazing bullocks soon. Can I apply fertilizer and in what quantity while the horse are still grazing?

    Anybody keep horses?

Ponies....and always nervous of the fresh flush of spring grass from both a digestive and laminitis point of view. Horses might be differnt though.

Could you restrict the horses to a portion of the ground and fertilise the rest?

Yes, I'd probably do something like that.
