Recommend a long-form journalism piece that you loved

With people having more free time on their hands (even the lack of commute is freeing up a lot of time for those still working if they are working from home now), I thought it might be cool to for people to suggest long-form journalism pieces that made an impact on them for whatever reason.

I'll start. It's a New York Times article and if you don't have a subscription, it is well worth using up one of your monthly free allowance slots on. It's called 'Death on the CNN Curve' and documents the downfall of a couple of men and one in particular in the aftermath of the rescue of Jessica McClure, the toddler who fell down the well in Texas in the 1980s. It's a very poignant read and really highlights how badly PTSD can affect somebody's life and how little was known about PTSD in the early '90s. It also shows how difficult it can be coping with sudden media attention. It's really stayed with me.
