Reservists Experience

I see the Reservists are recruiting again and I am considering joining. I was supposed to join a year ago but an injury set me back unfortunately.

I am considering joining the CIS Reservist unit, Infantry reservist unit or perhaps the Medical Corps reservist unit.

Does anyone know what PRACTICAL stuff each unit does? I mean obviously the CIS do comms, telecommunications and IT, infantry do squad level attacks and medical assist with medical queries etc. What I mean is, has anyone been in these units? What tasks do you ACTUALLY do? What specific training do you get? What weapons do you get trained on?

Particularly in these uncertain times, I think it would be excellent to provide SOME sort of service, however little.

Also, I think having a centralised thread of people's training experiences, qualifications, and stories from reservist service moving forward would help all and sundry.

    Thanks.
