Self isolation protocol

    Hi,

    If you are experiencing flu, cold and cough like symptoms and ring your GP to explain this and are told to self isolate until a test can be arranged and a negative result returned will you be paid full sick pay by your employer?

    Also if you test positive do you need to take an additional 2 weeks off for self isolation?

    Your employer may pay you bit not obliged to.

    If not then apply for illness benefit from DEASP.

    305 per week.

    (Employer may pay you this 305 in the interim and claim it back from DEASP later).


    Sorry.....if.you actually end up having it then I think the same situation applies. Employers aren't obliged to pay sick pay here so back to the 305 PW.
