Has anybody got any practical advice on the best procedure to use for replacing the timing belt on an Audi A6 2.0 TDI? Is it really necessary to remove bumper and front panel to do this job.
Can it be done without all that hassell? Any advice would be appreciated.

Is yours the model with the pulley boss that fails? Id it is then you will need to remove the bumper and front panel to get the helicoil kit installed in it.

CJ thanks for the info. I am not sure if it is the model withthe failing pulley boss ??? Are there any specified year or chassis no, or model
that have this known problem. Do you know if the full timing belt replacement kit include thid item, I suppose it would be prudent anyway to replace the whole lot when the belt is being changed? Any advice on belt change only?
