Virgin Media and RTE News app

    My RTE News app has stopped working on Lenovo Yoga tablet. I've uninstalled/reinstalled and still no luck. There was an issued with the wifi yesterday and I'm wondering if that might be it. Any ideas please ?

    if you can reinstall the app then you must have the wifi connection there to get data.

    hard to say to be honest why it's not working

    the latest version is jan 16 2020.

    unless the version that you uninstalled was an older version and the new one doesn't work on your tablet?

    in that case go to apkmirror and download and install an older version

    (have to allow unknown sources in android settings to do the install)

    of course if you have automatic app updating on this probably doesn't apply as it would have updated since january to the latest version

    had a similar problem with Netflix in my leonovo yoga, updated app no Joy,had to delete and reinstall an older version of same

    Thanks folks, I've tried installing an older version (tried 2 different ones) and still no luck. The app tries to open, the homepage comes up and then I get the error message:(

    you could also try going to the rte news app in android app settings / list of apps and clearing both cache and data / user data.

    give that a go.
