There was an Aussie Rules game for the Spectrum, probably also for other 8 bits too.

Couple of quite good baseball games on the Speccy, Hardball being one. There's an excellent Spanish Basketball game, also a few ok American football games (avoid the dross by Ocean and Bugbyte) . International Cricket given away on Your Sinclair is brilliant. A slew of football games, and management sims. International Rugby by Codemasters is good fun.

There's a squash game on the Spectrum too, Jonah Barrington, and Bounces which is a futuristic ball game, xeno futuristic air hockey (with a ball)

Also Bump, set, Spike (volleyball) on 8 bits and Beach Volleyball.

Golf with World Class Leaderboard which is surprisingly good on the Spectrum.

    Steve Davis Snooker has balls!

Edit: Fernando Martin Basket Master is the Spanish basketball game. Had to Google it.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

In the declining years, Sinclair User magazine published a tape with a game programmed by a coder called"DUKE"
    Impossible to play properly.
To go up further levels in fact, it was better to go to the fence and attack the opponent with your bat. They then attacked you. It worked for you most of the time but not all.
