    Hello everyone.

Because of the Corona virus crisis my wife is working from home for at least the next two weeks. She has a Dell Latitude 7390 2-in-1 laptop and she would like to connect this to ourHP Compaq LA2405wg monitor (quite an old monitor, we have had it for several years).

As far as I can tell the monitor has the following input options: VGA, DVI-D and Display Port.

I'm not sure what output options the laptop has, finding it difficult to find this information in the Dell documentation. I think it has HDMI port, not sure what other options if any are available.

Does anyone know what cable I need to but to connect the laptop to the monitor? And is it just a matter of connecting both via the correct cable or do I also need to do something in software/setup?

    Thanks.

You need a HDMI to displayport cable or hdmi cable with a display port adapter on the end.

When you connect the cable, open the start menu and type project and select either duplicate or extend if she wants to use both screens.

Thanks DopeTech. I tried Currys but they don't have HDMI to Display Port cable or adapter. Do you know where best to order online for quickest delivery? Thanks.

    amazon prime delivery I'm guessing.

don't think that there is much in the way of speedy irish-based suppliers / if any.
