No, Brian was in place for that 1980 tour

Also saw them at Punchestown in 2009, but had to fit U2 in that year (and they also squeezed out Fleetwood Mac with the best I've seen of them in that year)!

1988 had Springsteen in the Human Rights Now concert, but I saw him for a full set that year at Bramhall Lane in Sheffield also

The likes of Thin Lizzy, Alice Cooper, Cher and Adele don't get a look in. Roger Waters was better in Las Vegas in 2017 than at the 3 Arena the following year, but the Who were brilliant in 2017

I must say, it's quite jarring to see Adele and Cher mentioned in the same breath as the creme de la creme of rock. I'm going to assume it was a wife or daughter that spurred your attendance. :pac:

Lady GaGa was with the kids. Adele was a corporate hospitality thing at work. Cher - well I simply wanted to see the show she put on, well into her 70s and TBH pretty phenomenal at that age. And of course she goes back to the 60s herself and was a bit different from the "pop" stars of yesteryear and certainly those around nowadays

Wings were one of the few that got away as were Floyd for The Wall in Earls's Court in 1980 but travel was far more expensive back then. If you can remember what did you think of Wings?

I had just started university in Manchester when news came they would be selling tickets one Sunday morning at the venue.Got there at what I thought was an early time, only to find there were masses there already. As I started walking down the queue people started getting up and moving forward. Some were in sleeping bags and before I knew it there was a massive rush as people closed all the gaps, and I was in the middle of it:pac: That meant I had a very good seat

The show itself was good, but looking back, Mull of Kintyre had a fake bagpiper. They did one or two of McCartney's Beatles sings, but this was very much a Wings show. Overall I would say from the list above this would have been near the bottom, but some of those shows were special.

Obviously saw McCartney again at Live Aid, but he only did Let it Be there and that was pretty special, but more because of the occasion, and even then there is no doubt that Queen, U2 and the Who used their 20 mins or so to do something pretty special
