Self quarantined by airline

    Ryanair has told a cabin crew friend of mine to self quarantine as he was on a flight from Italy. They told him to take unpaid leave.

    Does anybody know if he's entitled to any social welfare and if so what's the process? He's only been with Ryanair for 7 months so has shag all rights. Seems like a pretty crappy way to treat staff. He's from Spain and only moved to Ireland a few months ago so probably doesn't have enough stamps built up for much support.

    He's entitles to 305 per week for 2 weeks. Contact social welfare on Monday or look up their website.

    Yep, get him to contact his GP, they will sign him off and hes entitled to €305 a week. Restrictions and checks have been temporarily lifted. I listened to an interview with Regina Doherty yesterday and she said the above.
