    Hello,

My girlfriend's visa application has just been refused.

She has literally done everything correct, even had to pay €350 for a medical she needed (which she passed) as she is a teacher.

She was requested to upload a form regarding her whereabouts between 2002 and 2020 and had until the 8th of March to do so. On the 7th of March she uploaded the form via the enquiry form on the CIC website as she couldn't find where to upload it directly on the portal. In the email correspondence she received it said to use the enquiry form to upload this in event of any issues uploading it.

We assumed everything was fine and that she would have absolutely no issue getting her visa only for her to receive notice yesterday that she had been refused for failing to upload this form on time!!? Is there anything at all we can do at this stage, this is awful bad luck as everything else had been done successfully. all fees paid and biometrics done etc

We sent another email yesterday using the enquiry form on the CIC website to inform them we had actually sent the form on the 7th but have still heard nothing back, I assume this enquiry form is very slow in processing the amount of mails being sent. The original enquiry would surely show we sent the form in on time and it had her application number and UCI number included.

Today she received another email saying her application status had changed but nothing has changed, we did however find the correct place to upload the overdue form and have now done so but we feel it may be too little too late which is awful when we really tried to get it done on time.

Does anyone have any experience with this and what if anything we can do :(

    Devastated is not the word

What does the application state when she logged into it?

If the only reason for refusal was failure to upload the form then it should be ok to reapply again. The other option is to do what you have done and submitted an enquiry through the webform.

You may get the processing fee from the first application returned as the application could be considered incomplete
