Desktop displays hdmi on one TV but not other

    Just got a new GPU.
    Put it in ,turned TV on,no display.
    I thought damn GPU doesn't work. So tried it on the living room TV and it works perfectly.
    So I connected the Xbox to the small TV that I usually have the desktop connected to and it works perfectly,confirming that the HDMI port is fine.
    So desktop won't connect to my usual TV through hdmi( works fine with VGA on integrated graphics), but Xbox connects and displays fine.
    Desktop hdmi connects fine to other TV.
    Tried changing resolution multiple times on living room TV but nothing helps
    Any ideas? I'm totally stumped.
