Multiple people in work are having issues but mines fine.

Network is made of wet cardboard and string and falls over if theres anything approaching load.

I have experienced problems with my three account in recent weeks. I don't think the network is down though, at least not that I'm aware of. Edit: correction, I now find that I can't even access the basic three.ie website.

So I assume you're saying the virus has mutated and it's in our telecoms systems now?

Whatever happened to their "big upgrade" ?

Too many people using the network to make calls after the government announcement.
The internet works perfect on the phone, so you can call people using whatsapp.

Mines down, can't receive calls or texts, but have data.
Checked downdetector.ie and seems there's faults everywhere

    They downgraded their customer service.

Their upgraded app for iPhones is getting horrendous reviews.

Anyone know or heard if when it'll be back. Coinsidence around the time the Government made their announcement at about 11.30am, it seemed to go down.

"Update to systems between 2pm Sunday 15th March and 9am Tues 17th march. We Recommend that you top up as top up channels will be unavailable and some self service and support channels will be restricted."

May be related, but ya its a spotty network most of the time anyway.

3 should never have been allowed to buy O2 some years ago, in the uk the gov there blocked it.

At the time 3 promised to do upgrades and cut prices,, they then went to other way,, and here we are now.

    It's the coronavirus' fault

Ah it was like what happens on New years eve, as soon as the government made the announcement everyone started calling and texting and the network exploded. Seems to be working fine now.

Huawei have shut down Three's network using their back door into the core network routers.
The next step in the Chinese plan for world domination...?

    P. S. Voice calls till down here in Tipperary, data OK though.

Should have bought a proper ham radio instead of playing with these silly consumer mobile phone toys

We are aware that some customers are currently experiencing intermittent access to voice, SMS and data services. The root cause has been identified as a power issue at one of our data centres. We have engineers working to resolve this as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

    Works for me though.

Believe it's or not all networks suffered end it seems to have starred just afterward Leo gave his speech this morning. It looks like the whole country jumped onto their phones at the same time. I'm only GoMo (Eir) and some of myself text messages haven't been delivered hours later.

I'm with Tesco and it's still fecked hours later.
Still can't make a call just checked it.
Why are the phone networks in Ireland so bloody useless?

Mine was gone all day. Just tried the 'turn the phone off and on again' and I have full coverage now.

    GoMo use Eir

    An Post use Vodafone

EVERYONE else uses 3. Where people who used to be on O2 are still treated like second class citizens. The others are third class citizens on 3's network.

When a network is up, your service depends on what masts are in your area, hat bands they are on and how congested they are. Check on https://siteviewer.comreg.ie/

Rumoured that 3 is prepping for a huge influx of people working remotely in the very near future

I read in the media they were having network problems this afternoon. I can't find the link.

The article said they had a hardware outage problem but then went on to say that it went down at the time of Varadkar's announcement this morning (as if to say that overload caused the problem). Which didn't make much sense to me.
