Translation help please

    An acquaintance on the net is asking about the translation of the following:

    I've transcribed it exactly. I mention that because I wonder if there's an error and it should be: ".. in ár gcroí" or similar.

    Cuimnhí ort inárgeroí istigh.

    "Remembering you in our hearts" maybe.
    Your expert comments are invited.
    Go raibh maith agaibh.

    You don't need 'istigh' A nicer way would be 'I ndílchuimhne'....in loving memory

    I think the OP already has the inscription in Irish, and they're trying to translate it back into English.

    They've already done an accurate job of translating it anyway, even with the error in "Cuimnhí ort inárgeroí istigh." :)

    I'd imagine the original message was supposed to be along the lines of "Memories of you in our hearts".
