Focus ST3... Estate!?

Focus ST been a pipe dream for many years and this year I feel like I'm financially able to afford it. Especially love the current ST3 model.

However after having seen the Focus ST-Line in estate I have to say it's really a lovely car and the estate appeals to me for many reasons.
After having a chat with the dealer a bit I mentioned what he thought of an ST-3 in estate. He agree'd the focus estate is nice but he thinks I shouldn't go with the estate model for such a high performance car.
I can see where he's coming 100% considering its a hot-hatch and my initial desire was to just get the hatch.
But I'm torn 60:40 against getting estate but want to see what others would think

Would it be silly to get an ST3 in estate?

You are the one paying, you get to decide ðŸ‘

I always loved sporty estates going back to the E36 BMW, there is just something about them.

If you like the estate go for it, it will be different to all the rest of them. I love estates and I’ve had a few quick ones over the years ( Impreza STI wagon x2, Legacy turbo wagon, BMW 325 e36 & e30 touring etc)

Buy it in estate form but minimise the "look at me I go faster" bits if you can and you'll have a Q car / sleeper car. No-one will expect performance like that from an estate.

If you like it go for it. It's nice to have something not as common.

Loved fast estates ever since Ronin. Dealer might just want to shift what suits him. Go for it.

Fast estates have always been the cool choice.

The Octavia VRS looks good in an estate why wouldn't the Focus ST?

It does, it’s probably a better design than the hatch.

The wife has a 191 st line estate in magnetic grey looks really well and stands out from common hatchback!
Very practical too fine size boot in them!
