    Hi guys

I have a job offer from another eu state. They are gonna run a back ground check on my I did get into trouble five years ago , supposed to go to court but I ddnt show up .

Would a company find out about this one ?

Should I come clean before they do ?

Who has access to Garda and court records ?

    Thanks in advance

I very much doubt that they'd have access to Garda records. But a failure to appear in court usually has consequences such as a bench warrant being issued. So how did it end? There may be press cuttings.

But since the job is in the Netherlands and you will be living there, you need to be aware of the laws there and the consequences for you if there is an issue there not Ireland.

For instance here in Switzerland in the banking and insurance industry it is a legal requirement and a criminal offense to fail to disclose such an issue.

Hard to comment on the rest so I'll just comment on this point.

No, you have nothing to gain by coming clean. Not showing up to court sounds terrible and you'll definitely lose the job if you tell them.

Really and do you know what the consequence would be under dutch law for the OP if it was found out after he takes up the job and is resident in that state???
