Leap cards on buses _ expresseay and bus eireann

    Can you use a leap card on.expresseay or bus eireann services?

    I was on.a bus on.friday and the driver said not on.bus eireann.services but you could on expressway.

    I never knew there was a difference

    Was he correct?

    If you look up the routes on their website, it'll tell you what fares are applicable. This should reference Leap too.

    The driver just needs to be concerned with what comes up on their screen. If you put the leap card to it, chances are there would have been a Leap fare. but it's not always cheaper with Bus Eireann due to the zone layouts it's done with.
