Hi I'm just wondering if people who are on disability allowance get any extra benefits if they look for housing assistance ?

I'm thinking not having to share a living space with strangers.

Are you fit to work part time? Could help you afford what you are asking for.

If you have a disability and you feel you are being railroaded into living somewhere with people you don’t want to live with then you should contact here:

Can a single person on disability get a 1 bedroom flat to themselves ?

Due to my disability I'm best suited to living on my own.

You need to get on the housing list and have letters from your GP to support your application and try and get you pushed up the list.
But I’m afraid you will be waiting many years for a council flat in Dublin.
What you have to do is apply to be on the housing list and then you can look for a place that suits you and apply for HAP from the council to help you to pay.

What funding are you looking for a week on top of your payments to make rent on a one person flat?
