    The Terenure 5 mile will take place this year on Sunday 10th May at 11am.

    Formerly known as the “Dublin 5 Mile Classic”, 2020 will be the races 36th year.

    The fast 2 lap course starts from Terenure College, Dublin 6w.

    This year there will also be Junior Races. Entry for Junior races is €5

    Junior Races start at 9.30am.

    The race is run by the local Sportsworld Running Club. Check out previous threads for reviews of the race.

    2019, 2018,2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010.

    The entry fee is €25 (including fees).

    Hi,

    I wanted to post here to say that this race will not be happening on May 10th.

    This will be the first time in 35 years we have not run this race.

    We will not be rescheduling the race and everyone will get a full refund, including the processing fee paid to the timing company.

    We will be back in May 2021. Thanks to everyone who had entered.

    Below is the official statement. Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.
    ***2020 Sportworld Terenure 5 Mile Canceled***

    Due to the recommendations and health and safety advice on tackling the Covid-19 outbreak we have no choice but to cancel this year's Sportsworld Terenure 5 mile race which was due to take place on May 10th.

    We feel it is not possible to postpone the race to a later date in the year but hope to start with a fresh slate for the race in May 2021. We are giving a full refund to all those who have entered the main 5 mile race and the junior races. You will receive confirmation of this shortly.

    A number of people made donations to St Luke's charity when they entered the race. The total for this was €430 and they have been contacted and we will be transferring the money to them shortly. We hope to keep St Luke's as the charity partner for the 2021 race.

    We want to thank all our sponsors for their support and understanding and all those who have been working in the preparation of the the planned race.

    We hope everyone stays safe, continues to follow the HSE health guidelines and we will try and make the 2021 Sportsworld Terenure 5 mile race even better.
