Venue deposit

    Hi we are getting married on June B hol 2021 , Venue picked deposit paid, However we had a family lunch in same Venue recently and of the 9 Adults attending we all had an issue with the food or service, this is my 2nd lunch there in last few months and 1st time was fab, So my question is should i be worried that a large party of us found fault, has anyone attended wedding here?? And generally what was service like, if we cancel we lose our deposit, any advice greatly welcomed,

    What exactly were the issues with the second meal? Did you take these up with the venue at the time?

    I would speak to them to raise the issues, see what they have to say first.

    Overall the service was very poor, main courses came out staggered, as in meat served than3/4 mins later fish mains ,lastly chicken main for our table than accompanying veg 8 mins after the 1st plates went down , water wasnt replenished only after asking 3 times, staff were very young and slightly hap hazard , was planning on speaking to manager but she was busy showing venue to another couple,

    OK. But did you actually SPEAK to anyone at the time? Have you raised the issues at all??
