Thanks to anyone who can help. My outbound flight to Bologna on April 6th has been cancelled from Dublin. I have accepted refund.
My return flight was with same airline for 591.96euro on April18th from Pisa. Does anyone know where I stand? Could I get a refund of the return flight as well? Ive tried call centre, chat bot and live chat but have lost the will to live each time with the wait of over 2 hours on hold. I still haven’t been able to speak to a human.

If you booked them as two seperate flights then i expect they don't have to refund you.

    Do you have travel insurance?

Yes. I rang them. They said at the moment, they would not cover it because although there is a travel advisory in place for Bologna region, it will only be if there is a travel advisory in place 48 hours before when the flight was to occur. Ie on the 4th of April. Also, they said it would only be a good will gesture on their part and may not happen. I felt I was getting a bit of a PFO from them really.

Added complication is that there is a travel advisory for Bologna region but not Pisa region

I went to Bologna last April and Ryanair cancelled the outbound flight as well. We ended up transferring to a flight to Pisa (they transferred us for free) and then we got the train from there to Bologna. Return leg from Bologna was fine.
