Adding second thermostat to existing 3-zone setup

Hello, I know next to nothing about heating systems, so I'm trying to figure out whether it's possible for a three zone (upstairs, downstairs, hot water) system that currently runs off of a single thermostat to be upgraded so that the upstairs and downstairs zones can be controlled by separate thermostats (and the hot water either on the upstairs one or both).

The simple answer is YES, as this is the way it should have been done in the first place.

The more complicated piece starts with, what programmer do you have (how many channels) and is the wiring there to support what your wish to do, and if not (which i kinds suspect already) where is the hotpress and valves in relation to the boiler ran spur location (in case new cables need to be run)
