Monsoon pump - new circuit board needed?

I have a Stuart Turner monsoon pump - the circuit board blew a while back so i replaced it with a spurious version from aquaflow. The problem is it now runs continuously - even with the valves closed or the flow switches removed entirely.

Is it just a dodgy circuit board or something else? If so, if i get another is the same thing likely to happen, is this a fault in these boards, or have i just been unlucky a got a dodgy one?

Is there anywhere i can get a genuine stuart turner board on it's own, without buying the complete service kit?

I had same problem and new board fixed it after checking all the other potential options. The guy is on Ebay. 2minute job to replace.

Just a quick update - i eventually got around to it and fitted the new circuit board and it's made no difference. Pump runs continuously even with all the valves closed and the reed switches removed.

The only thing i haven't replaced at this stage is the pressure switch. So i'm guessing it must be that!

I really don't like messing with water (bad experiences :D) If I close off all the valves and remove the pressure switch how much water is likely to come out - it looks as though a bucket would be enough to catch it but i'm just not sure.

Is it a drain the whole system kind of job?
