Earbuds/pods - wireless?

Hi I am thinking of buying some wireless head phones/ear buds/ear pods.. what ever they are called..
I have an iphone - currently have the wired headphones.. just the regular ones..
I would like wireless.. something that goes into the ear as oppose to the headband style..
I had a look at airpods but they are v €€€
Are there cheaper alternatives that are apple compatible?
    Comfort is also a must...
But Q - if i go with wireless, does that mean that I cannot take calls while wearing them? As in, there can't be a mic?

    Advice would be appreciated
    Thanks

Stay clear of the cheap imitation apple ones = rubbish.

I have Samsung earbuds but these are supposed to be very good, Jess Kelly from Newstalk reviewed a few and said these were good too.

Re calls, you use the mic on your phone and sound comes through the buds.

Check out Gamesky on Youtube. He reviews a lot of truly wireless earbuds. Might be of some help to you.

I see those linked have an internal mic. I assume you can use that for calls?

Most of my friends are crazy for AirPods Pro, which is coming around £249.00 and yes, they are also offering free engraving. You can see more details from here. But in my opinion, it is very expensive. I think you should use around £50-60 price of earbuds if you only want to hear music and don't want to use it for any hi-fi project.

If I address your question about the use of wireless earbuds then for sure, you can receive calls with wireless devices. It is not an issue. I would suggest you to try these wireless earbuds https://www.taotronics.com/products/tt-bh079-smart-ai-tws-headphones. Yes, it is SoundLiberty 79, and its price is about £49.99 with the option to make HD calls with noise cancellation features. Hopefully, you will like it. Sony WF-1000XM3 could also be one of the best choices if you raise your budget.

Actually in this Forum to ask same thing. Sorry to hijack Thread! No idea what I should get. I don't know what Bluetooth is for, or what role it plays in using Earphones?!? Have used Bluetooth before for transferring a photo or something from one Handset to another but that's it. Or why Earphones need to be connected to anything to use them?!?

Also, other questions would be; - when the Charging Device runs out of charge does that need to be plugged in to charge it then? And if going out for a walk, do you have to bring the Charging Device out with you as well in order to use the Earphones? And how does it actually work?!? Is there a maximum distance of some sort, or do the Earphones go out of range at some point?

I just bought a pair of Sony WF-1000XM3 earbuds - delivered last week.

The sound quality is great. But, and I say this as someone who never bought a pair of truly wireless earbuds before (so, I've nothing to guage them against), if they just went 10% louder I would genuinely say they were perfect for me.

    Cost €203, I think

Honestly it’s worth the money for the AirPods. €140 well spent.

Mifo O7 is great and very comfy. I believe they are the best in market at the moment. If you looking for cheaper ones, go with Sabbat e12

8,000 plus good reviews and are recommended by Jess Kelly from Newstalk.....on some sort of deal too, think they are about £65 but down to less than half price.

I bought a pair of Xaoimi earbuds when I got the Redmii phone. Around 25euro and they are grand. Good sound and range. Box gives them around 6 charges from empty and they run for about 5 hours on a charge. Mymemory.co.uk.

They are long gone at this stage.

And you'll find videos like that online for every gadget.

They were ticking many boxes till I got to this part of a review. That mic doesn't sound great at all https://youtu.be/xpOcLqWMq7o?t=350

I saw the same review and it put me off them - looking for some wireless earbuds with a decent mic that's ok enough for zoom calls etc. Seems difficult to find. Not expecting the quaility of a headset obviously just something clear enough to hear!

Any recommendations for an earbud that is the same shape/style as the airpod pro ? Something small so to speak.

I bought a pair of Soundpeats from Amazon but can't take to the size or the poor seal when in your ear that gives that mono sound.

Does anyone rate the Huawei ones ?
