    I want to buy a laptop from Dell can I claim tax relief because I’m self employed .

    This isn't a "Consumer" issue, if you need advise about VAT registration I'd recommend theE&BM forum but there's no point moving this thread over there.

    If the laptop is for business use, it is considered an asset and can be written down against tax but that it also not a Consumer concern and there is the Taxation forum for those queries.
