    Hello,

I've been reading that a pre-emergent herbicide can help limit crabgrass in a lawn.

Does anyone here use a pre-emergent herbicide on the lawn ? What brand would you recommend ?

Any brand of glyphosphate will kill all green growth. Roundup is market leader.

Note that it takes several weeks before you see grass dying, especially if weather is cold, but you don't wait until then to sow seed. You can actually sow before you spray.

Make sure you spray it on a dry day before your lawn seed germinates.

Roundup would kill all the grass which i want to avoid, in this article they mention pre-emergent herbicide https://celticgardens.ie/lawn-care-tips/

It certainly would - sorry I misunderstood - I thought you were making a new lawn.

I've never come across what you are looking for.

just to follow up on this thread, it would appear that you can only get this type of herbicide in the US

I think the situation is a bit more complicated than that.
