How would I fasten one metre high bamboo screening without damaging the walls? I want to cordon off a little patio area outside my window but I can't damage the walls.

One alternative would be to put some stakes into the ground and fasten the bamboo to these. There's every chance that a bit of a breeze would blow it away though. If you have some storage space you could make upside down T shapes from timber and fix the bamboo to them, you might need some guy ropes as well. but you would really have to store them between uses. There are other possibilities but they are getting a bit expensive - use a couple of parasol bases with a post in them, put clay plant pots upside down and thread a cane through the hole into the ground.

The ground is concrete so wouldnt be able to put anything in the ground. Yeah I was thinking of a few posts with a heavy base, like those stands they use in queues or even a long rectangular flower pot with a hedge shield.

A few 5mm holes in what I'm assuming is blockwork would be miniscule in terms of damage. Unless we are talking about a very smooth plastered & painted finish wall?

Yeah it would be nothing really but it's not my wall so I cant make that determination.
