Accessible van for disabled passenger

Hi all,

Just looking for some help sourcing a van for my disabled sister. Need to upgrade her van as we've had it for years and it's fairly knackered at this stage but am having trouble finding what we need.

Currently have an adapted Renault Kangoo van (with back seats removed and floor brackets and folding ramp added to fit automatic wheelchair). We are looking for something similar but need a petrol engine. Have spoken to a few people/showroom who deal specifically in adapted vehicles and all claim that it's impossible to find one with a petrol engine.

Have toyed with the idea of importing from the UK but it'd be too much hassle and we'd still have her old one that we would then need to sell separately instead of trading in, so am very reluctant to go down that route.

The vast majority of that type are van derived and so were never offered as petrol. The only alternative would be a full size mpv like a Ford Galaxy, Seat Alhambra etc. Again, the vast majority are diesel but there are some petrol ones out there. You may have to sort the conversion yourself though

Peugeot Rifter is available in petrol, as were the older model Partner Tepee.
