Ok so have had the sat dish for 15+ years now and it's really rusted to hell and the signal quality is suffering a lot lately

I am thinking it needs replacing.

Its a sky dish that was using a Sky Plus HD box so would have twin sat feeds

But as far as size etc I don't know where to start.

Using it and it's twin feed currently for a Tiviar for teh UK channels

Maybe it does need replacing ........ or maybe it just moved in high winds recently.

15+ years and rusted to hell, no harm getting it replaced. If you're getting an installer they will know what size is needed. If doing it yourself giving your rough location will enable others to let you know the best size.

Assuming you are in Ireland a zone 2 sky dish is required.

Well I got it realigned maybe 6 weeks back as had the chimney replastered and my sat guy said it was on the way out maybe another 12 months

However recently any light bit wind rain and the signal is up and down

I'm in West Clare of it helps

In that case get your sat guy out to replace it.
If you have the option of a gable wall installation rather than a chimney, then I suggest you should consider that.
