We have a number of channels showing origin Astra 2A 28.2E. I am wondering if they are actually coming from another satellite ?

Its dead and floating in graveyard orbit. Your box just has that name against the transponders, which were moved to another satellite years ago. Its completely irrelevant to anything so if there's issues is not from that.
