Hi all, I’ve read number of articles, revenue website and citizen inf. Web regarding joint assessment for married couple and I couldn’t get clear answer on what is the most beneficial “scenario”
My partner and I are working hard and long days leaving our kids at 7 and barley making it back for 19:00 to collect them. We both work full time, I’m on 40k; he is on 70k
As currently Substantial part of our income goes to revenue we are wondering how to benefit and make most from joint assessment if we were to get married ...it is in place for a reason.

If I was to change job to part time, get more time with kids would we really benefit? Or what my partner won’t pay in taxes is basically the difference between me being full time and part time.
What does it look like if I was not work at all?
Can anyone support it with actual examples !
    Thank you
