As the title says do county councillors get redundancy? The reason that i am asking is that a local councillor lost his seat in the last election. Some one from his party who was a sitting councillor got elected in the constituency as a TD and co opted the councillor to his seat. To me this is gross hypocrisy as the party canvassed on a platform of change and here they are giving a job to some one a year after the people decided not to give the person a job. Also councillors do get redundancy does that mean that this councillor could potentially get it again?
