Anyone done this? Have to change from my old eircom.net one, but the only choice in 'Change personal details' is postal.address or surname.

    Hi

Fill in the car reg number on the login screen.
The Pin Number is the last 6 digits of the Number found on the top right corner on the front of your Vehicle Registration Certificate (Not the Chassis/engine number) as I had been told.

That will bring you to your car detail screen where you will see manage email beside your old email address. I have just done this and i paid as normal and got the receipt to my new email address.

    Regards Eamonn

Thanks Eamonn. Sorry - I forgot to report back (up to the elbows in websites for two of us going back 20 years, juggling confirmation emails etc, punctuated by our turn coming round to be 'upgraded' to a new style Three website we couldn't access). But I'm sure your info will be useful here.

If memory serves, I asked the MTO via their contact email, which turned out the normal way to do it, and they sent an email to my email address confirming it (and very promptly, though that may have been connected with getting our official sites over with first). And I got my reminder email yesterday.
The MTO seemed to be tied in with the vehicle registration department, which I looked into at the same time because my car reg certificate has my old eircom.net address on it. A reg cert needs sending off for a replacement if we change name or postal address, but they don't bother updating email addresses (not much use re ID/security, I suppose). And (in case it saves someone else going round the houses!) they're also irrelevant re Public Services Cards or YouGov, as they don't retain people's email addresses (they registered us for both in the same session, and we gave them our email addresses at the time, but it was just a useful option during the registration process).

The chassis number is used for first taxing of a brand new car, this releases the VLC to the owner and the VLC number is the pin from then on.
