Latest iOS and public Wifi

Anyone having issues with the latest iOS and public WiFi? iPhone X user. I’m noticing when I connect to public networks that are open or open with a splash screen that the WiFi can drop regularly and cause the phone to hang or be really slow. Is this a bug or just me?

Might be you? I have an X and was away the last few days on loads of different public networks with no issues.

Not specifically public WiFi, but my wifes phone is encountering very poor WiFi performance. Found a thread on Reddit which suggested to turn off Bluetooth and try it, which proved to be right. Might be worth giving it a try.
