Can anyone reccomend a UK hosting company for an ecommerce website please? It's a fairly straightforward ecommerce site selling coffee. It's built on Wordpress and uses woocommerce as the shopping cart.

I have registered the .co.uk and want to have my hosting in Britain too. Looking for a recommendation please? Thanks.

Is there a particular reason you want everything in the UK?
With them leaving the EU they'll become a "3rd country" so from a data processing perspective it could become quite messy.

There is an SEO advantage to having the site hosted in the target country. I know you will say that Blacknight will do just as well but it won't. Thanks.

I use both letshost in Ireland and Marblehost in the UK. I have been a client of marblehost for over ten years, I can not fault them. I find them excellent and there support is top nouch and very fast.

This was true years ago, not anymore.

And this is why discussion/recommendation of hosting on here is not allowed. It just leads to arguments.

    Minimal advantage, if any.

Of course, if you know better, why are you asking for recommendations?

I've always found the American hosting better. Personally I use GoGvo

I use cloudways, they are based in malta but offer a number of different options regarding hosting.

I personally use their digitalocean plan (whos closest datacenter is in london).

Changing hosting from the traditional shared hosting to cloud hosting was the single best decision I have made for my website. I will never go back to shared hosting ever again.

the .co.uk is already a signal.

LCN are good if know what you are doing, they use to be even better but their new system update makes it very difficult for non techs.

    regards

I am using Hostinger for my two websites from the last two years. I didn't find any issue with them. I think you can also try this service. Similarly, SiteGround, HostPapa and HostGator could also be some good options.
